If you're a fan of paranormal investigation, you may have spent many curious, creepy hours watching the Travel Channel's Ghost Adventures with Mark and Debby Constantino.
The couple, who specialized in EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) for the show, had a particularly spooky experience at Pennhurst, PA.
Sadly, recent events have rendered their tragic ends more shocking and macabre than many of the haunted cases they dedicated their lives to uncovering.
On Tuesday September 22, married couple Mark and Debby Constantino were found dead after a dramatic SWAT team standoff outside Mark Constantino's apartment in Nevada.
Police were alerted to a crisis situation by Debby's roommate, who returned home to find one unnamed roommate dead and Debby missing. Tracking Debby's cellphone, cops found her location: held in a dangerous hostage situation by her estranged, unstable husband.
Mark Constantino let off several gunshots at the cops, who managed to avoid returning fire. Reno Gazette Journal reports that Mark shouted to cops:
"Give me 15 minutes to gather my thoughts or I’ll kill her."
The standoff ran for hours before cops heard shots and found both Mark and Debby Constantino dead in what was most likely a murder-suicide.
Debby's friends and family are committed to fighting this tragic, harrowing form of domestic abuse. Let's hope that, through their efforts, some good can come of these awful events.
