SARABURI, Thailand (CNN) -- A sequence of explosions occurred at a firework factory in Thailand's central Saraburi province on Tuesday evening. There were no reports of deaths or injuries.
Over 10 fire engines were deployed to contain fire at the firework factory of Pacific Pyro Co in Tambon Huay Khaeng sub-district of Kaeng Khoi district. Two warehouses on a land plot of over 80,000 square meters were burnt.
Firefighters could not easily approach the facilities as explosions continued at the scene.
About 100 workers are employed there but the incident happened after their work hours and part of the workers already left their workplace. Damages have not been estimated. Police are trying to contact the Taiwanese owner of the plant for interrogation.
Saraburi Governor Thaworn Prommeechai inspected the scene and evacuated people in the three-kilometer radius of the factory. Concerned authorities discuss the cause of the explosion and preventive measures today.
