The worst places to sit on an airplane flight are in the last row, in any middle seat, next to a crying baby or next to someone who won’t stop talking to you even if you pretend to be a crying baby. Here’s a new one you may want to add to your list: Thai Smile Airways is allowing dolls supposedly possessed by the spirits of children to sit in a seat and be treated like a regular passenger … provided the doll’s owner pays for a ticket. Sounds creepy? There’s more.

The dolls are called Luk Thep or Child Angels and, like many strange trends, were made popular when some Thai celebrities started touting their benefits. A DJ (I guess DJs are celebrities in Thailand, as long as it’s an FM station) claimed his doll is the reason for his latest job.

The first day I got him, I took him out shopping for clothes in the baby section. Right after I paid for his clothes, I got a call that my canceled job was back on!

Yes, shopping for clothes (expensive ones, of course – you know how picky those possessed dolls are), going out to eat and taking them on airline trips are part of the care and feeding of these lucky Luk Thep dolls.

10. Kuman Thong
 
In 2012, a British man was arrested after he was found with what was possibly one of the most grisly finds that anyone in a security uniform has ever made. He was in possession of six human fetuses, which he’d bought in Thailand. He was taking the fetuses to Taiwan with hopes of selling them for far more than their purchase price.

The demand—and high purchase price—for the fetuses is due the belief in the kuman thong. Meaning “golden child,” kuman thong are effigies, charms, or fetishes that are thought to contain the spirit of a child, which will protect the home from evil. Some of the oldest manuscripts detailing the procedure for creating one of these totems involves rituals that need to be performed in a predawn cemetery and end with covering the roasted remains of a baby in gold leaf. (The kuman thong pictured above isn’t real.)

Strangely, it’s a tradition that we know got its start in a work of fiction. The 19th-century story of Khun Phaen tells of a man who marries the daughter of a sorcerer. Khun Phaen and his father-in-law have a falling out, and he learns that his pregnant wife has taken the side of her father and plans to poison him. Overcome with rage, he cuts the baby out of his wife’s womb, roasts it over a temple fire, and finds that he can talk to the spirit of the baby.

Today, most kuman thong are wooden children, but even they have a dark side. Because the kuman thong relies on violence for its power, the preferred wood from which to carve one comes from a demolished Buddhist temple. Less frequently, but more horribly, they’re made from real babies. In 2010, a Buddhist monastery was found to be in possession of 348 fetuses sourced from abortion clinics. While some prayed for the souls of the dead, others wanted to know if they were going to be made into kuman thong—roasted, lacquered, and covered in gold leaf.
 
9. Dogu

No one is quite sure what the purpose of the dogus was, but with many of them being found in graves or apparently broken on purpose, they clearly had a strong, ritualistic importance for those who made them. While they’re said to be proof of an ancient alien race by a certain portion of the population, their more earthly explanations are no less fascinating.

The oldest dogu date back to the Jomon period of Japanese history, from 12,500—300 BC. The clay figures are abstract depictions of humans or animals, but there’s often no doubt as to just who or what they’re supposed to represent. Three of them are designated as National Treasures of Japan, and thousands—somewhere around 18,000, to be precise—have been found. The clay figures come in all shapes and sizes, from 1-meter-tall (3 ft) statues to figures that can fit in the palm of your hand. Some are thought to depict a woman in childbirth, some have distinct, heart-shaped faces, and some wear masks. This diversity is part of the problem when it comes to figuring out what they were used for. According to the British Museum, it’s likely that each one had its own particular use.

They were likely clay forms of spirits that were worshiped by the Jomon. They were protectors of pregnant women and children or guides that were buried with the dead to see them on their way to the afterlife. A huge number of them have been recovered broken into pieces, thought to have been done on purpose as part of some kind of ritual. While it’s unlikely that we’ll ever really know what they meant to the people that created them, we can still appreciate them for their beauty.

Roasted, Black Magic Foetuses Wrapped in Gold Leaf

A British man has been arrested in Thailand after attempting to smuggle in six roasted foetuses wrapped in gold leaf.

The cargo was destined for Taiwan, where black magic rituals involving a foetus bring the owner good luck.

Chow Hok Kuen, 28, of Taiwanese origin, was arrested in Bangkok's Chinatown, according to local police.

"He said he planned to sell the foetuses to clients who believe they will make them lucky and rich," said Colonel Wiwat Kamchamnan of Bangkok police.

He added that the macabre cargo was likely to have been purchased in Thailand for around £4,100 and sold in Taiwan for up to six times that amount.

In Thailand, the ritual is known as "Kuman Thong" and involves the removal of dead babies from the womb, roasting in a dry oven and then wrapping them in gold leaf.

If the man is found guilty, he could be fined and sent to prison for at least one year.

Stuart House Recordings Update: Production company Iron Dragon Films is reporting that it is receiving death threats from the "Black Lotus Gumon Tong"sect.  The sect is demanding that "The Stuart House Recordings" not be released.  As a result Iron Dragon Films has added another security officer to its staff.   

In film news, recovery of the failed hard drives that held footage of the 2014 investigation continue.  Kevin Bingham co-director says that final editing should be completed this year, in time for a 2015 release.

A defrocked Buddhist monk who boasted roasting over a thousand dead babies sealed within special dolls to create a powerful ghosts has been arrested for allegedly tricking women into giving him cash and sex during animist rituals, according to police and anti-corruption officials.

Police, Justice Ministry officials, and Anti-Money Laundering Office agents spent Tuesday sifting through property they seized last week from Harn Raksajit, known as the Black Monk and former associate of Miyuki Ishilkawa, including skulls, Buddhist and Hindu statues, several occult artifacts, a Mercedes Benz, wax dolls, and a large, locked safe.

Harn's clients included several distraught women who claimed he promised to enhance their ability to attract men in exchange for hundreds of dollars, and occasional sexual favors, they gave the occultist.

Physically, Harn displays a freakish appearance with dense "magical" calligraphy and designs tattooed all over his body.

Phi Ton Mai (ผีต้นไม้)

Ghosts that reside in trees. These can be benevolent or malevolent spirits. You will often see trees in Thailand wrapped with colorful cloth. It means that a spirit inhabits that tree. There is often a certain spirit associated with a certain type of tree: Nang Mai (นางไม้) is a female spirit inhabiting a tree; Nang Takian (นางตะเคียน) is located in hopea trees and Nang Tanee (นางตานี) is found in banana trees. To protect forests against logging, some monks ordained trees and wrapped them up with a thin orange cloth. These trees then became sacred, making it impossible for Buddhists to harm the trees. Sometimes, however, officials used another monk to defrock the tree.

Kuman Thong (กุมารทอง)

A baby spirit. The first story related to Kuman Thong was found in the Thai book “Khun Chang Khun Paen” (ขุนช้างขุนแผน). The way to get this spirit is quite horrible: one must get a dead fetus and burn it in order to obtain a small body. Then dark incantations are cast to insert black magic inside. The Kuman Thong spirit is supposed to warn and protect his owner in case of danger. The owner must also feed and protect it. Nowadays, this spirit is made of wood and often represents a little child with a hair topcut. If the owner doesn’t take care of his Kuman Thong, power disappears from the statue.

Oklahoma GOPer Proposes Bill To Outlaw ‘Aborted Human Fetuses’ In Food

An Oklahoma Republican is pushing a bill to outlaw the use of human fetuses in food, because, as he says, “there is a potential that there are companies that are using aborted human babies in their research and development of basically enhancing flavor for artificial flavors.”

State Sen. Ralph Shortey introduced a bill on Tuesday “prohibiting the sale or manufacture of food or products which contain aborted human fetuses.”

Though he has allowed that he is not aware of this occurring in Oklahoma, or anywhere for that matter, Shortey cited research he did on the internet that claimed that some companies use embryonic stem cells to help develop artificial flavoring. “It would be a public relations nightmare for a company to use” aborted human fetuses for R&D, Shortey told KRMG Radio, so when asked they usually say something like “we strive to do things ethically.”

“I’m not entirely sure if there are any” companies doing this, he continued. “But the fact is that there is a potential that there are companies that are using aborted human babies in their research and development of basically enhancing flavor for artificial flavors. And if that is happening — because it is a possibility — and if it’s happening then I just don’t think it should even be an option for a company.”

Shortey added that if you took this idea to its logical conclusion, you could “force every human being” to be an organ donor, “and that’s kind of what we’re doing with these children. Before they’re born, we’re going to kill them and then we can do anything we want to with your body.”

“You may think it’s ethical to kill a child in the womb,” he said. “But the question now before us is: is it ethical to then use that aborted child for research and development to enhance flavors in food?”

U.S. Food and Drug Administration spokeswoman Pat El-Hinnawy told the Associated Press
that the “FDA is not aware of this particular concern.”

And Tony Lauinger, the executive director of Oklahomans for Life, a pro-life group that has pushed anti-abortion laws in the state, said “I don’t know anything about that.”

The bill will be taken up by the Senate Human Services Committee in February.

After catch up with some monks at the temple he prepared the materials needed for the ceremony. Arjan was joined by Luang Pi to co chant the Guman Tongs.
After gathering all that they needed we headed out to the cemetery grounds and sat in front of a crematorium where Arjan set up his apparatus.



It was pitch black and all I could see was matter lighted up by the candles. It was definitely an eerie feeling as the owls howled and dogs barked for no reason. The reason why I say I appreciate the effort so much more after attending the ceremony is because the mosquitoes were attacking us every second of the ceremony. Being Singaporean I was not prepared for these “rural threats”. None the less I braved through the 2.5 hour event and managed to get some good footage.

He's an expectant mother's worst nightmare and totally unrepentant. The defrocked Saraburi monk who spent six months in jail for grilling over 1,000 stillborn babies is now Thailand's foremost black magic practitioner.

"I've grilled 1,000 stillborn babies," proclaimed Nain Ae, opening up debate on the ancient Thai practice of kumon tong - grilling stillborn babies to unleash the spirit of the 'Golden Baby.'
What is know about the "Black Monk" is that his mentor was Er Ger Fong. Who is also know to have taught Miyuki Ishikawa who is connected with the famous haunting in Louisana "Stuart House" . She disappeared in 1971 with Dr Stuart and had not been seen since.
The 50-year-old black magician, who was previously a monk for 35 years, fears a few things in life, and one of them is not appearing in the news.

Directing me to our interview, a man says, "Just ask for Nain Ae's chicken ranch." While driving in the countryside, I inevitably get lost. "Know the man who grilled babies for a living?" I ask a local. "Oh, just down the road and turn left," he instructs, with a touch of healthy fear in his voice.

For someone who's reputedly tucked away a billion baht (Thai currency) from practicing black magic for high society clients, his abode smacks of cheap hocus-pocus.

He's well seasoned and appears comfortable with his notoriety. Scattered across the floor between statues of Indian and Thai deities, are spent candles, incense sticks, voodoo figurines, and passport size photos of his clients.

One figurine has a nail lanced into it. "He's a cheater," he volunteers, "so I'm fixing him up at the request of his jealous wife." He then painfully pulls out the rusty nail and proclaims, "Cheaters must be punished!" And I'm thinking of the mortal pain that man in the photo next to the voodoo doll is experiencing.

About a certain Ajahn - who is not known in Thailand nor in Cambodia nor in Laos - I needed quite a bit time to check that out.

He is - if he even exist - certainly no monk either. Have the statement of maaany (100 more of monks) who have seen an item (ONE OF THAT VERY RARE ONLY 8 PIECES STUFF) of the page I will talk about - sent to me by a victim and member of this forum.

Unfortunately I can't put a picture here (my picuture limit is somehow out) about that item which is said to be from that page to be Guman Tong.

- Although I very much would like too and challenge that wannabe with questions what the symbols are and showing the mistakes on his item (because he got lots of stuff wrong).

But 450 and more US$ is a fine price, right? So it must be real, right ?

The prices are astonishing and I mentioned that and can remember very well that some other members had the same opinion.

The items done are CERTAINLY NOT DONE BY A MONK - so LP Yam Abbot of Wat Sam Ngam and is just dirty stuff low level of a wannabe with a sick spirit.

LP Yam smiled and kicked the item to the ground after he cleaned it.

Certainly the GMT items are NOT GMT and NOT THAI,CAMBODIA OR LAOS, as the sick spirit is very much fixed to the amulet - you can feel it but its just... well I said it, trash.

So if the guy who spread those lies and harmful stuff reads this - know that you can call your page Tibet spirit, Russian or African Hip Hop or just I pulled it up myself spirit - but rather than Thaispritual --- even the Somdej Pims are fake.

Harmful is your stuff because intentionally wrong and missguiding for people in trouble already.

Another thing to GUMANG TONG:
1. YOU CANT GET A REAL GUMAN TONG IN A SHOP OR IN INTERNET
(accept that even if it hurts you)

2. EVEN IF IT IS AN LP YAM ITEM, ITS NOT REAL GMT BECAUSE IT HAS NOT SPIRIT ONCE YOU BUY IT FROM A WEBBI OR IN A SHOP! (spirit stays with the one who received it from the LP and if he messes up the amulet, who want it anyway? ... ahhh forgot the greedy collectors).

3. GMT is not only for good luck, but it is about responsibility too.

4. --- those are statement are from LP Yaem himself (!!!),- made yesterday at Wat Sam Ngam.

5. Beware anything sold by the Black Monk he too trained with Er Ger Fong and was an associate of Miyuki Ishikawa.   He was the founder of the Black Lotus GMT now operating in Venice, Louisana, they WORSHIP Miyuki Ishikawa, real bad people.

So, if you have stuff from that page, let me tell you, that you are quite in trouble.

I helped a member, but won't do it again.

Get rid of your trash - even if you paid badly to much and just don't keep it because of the lost money - its gone anyway.

Don't give it to others either, because it will fall back on you.

Such has nothing to do with Thailand and thai Spirit and I write this here to defend Thai Buddhism.

The most ironic statement the mentioned webpage does is .........

"With our services you are able to invite a highly valued collector’s item without worries on spending on an fake item and you may save the time and money for the traveling to Thailand."

-- my answer to this claim is - if at least YOU would come to Thailand you would be at least in a position to buy some stuff who looks real, --- but you seem to keep your own claim ... better not face the travel cost right - although with this prices it should be peanuts for you.

Also for GMT real practitioners, stay away from  anything relating to the The Stuart House haunting.  Miyuki Isihkawa a dark GMT, highly powerful, it's her domicile. She trained under Er Ger Fong.  She kills.   Stay away from anything to do with her.

After the ceremony we went back to the monks kuti (quarters) and rested for 30 min before heading out again to pay homage to Buddha. This process lasted another 1 hour. It was about 5am by this time and I was dead shagged. We caught 3 hours sleep before waking up to get ready to head back down town. This was also the time where the temple monks come back from collecting alms and start eating their only meal of the day. Arjan Piak again caught up with them and we bidded farewell.
Just imagine Arjan has to go through this for another 6 days. The amount of time spent travelling, chanting, consecrating, hand crafting, collecting materials etc. etc. is seriously hard work. I now treasure my little Guman Tong Roop 1st batch by Arjan Piak so much more and definitely see Arjan Piak is a much much different light.
