San Angelo, TX - The Pearl on the Concho has gone through many names. Much of its structure's existence spans decades with many stories to go along with its history. Including the story of the death of residents, a homeless person found deceased outside of the hotel doors and recent reports of paranormal activity taking place within the hotel's walls.
Staff members at the hotel shared a number of stories, some of which included instances where a worker was "pushed" to the ground only to find an outline of a "white figure" looking down at her.
A front desk clerk also says she received calls from a storage room in the hotel but all she heard on the other line was static.
Not only that, staff members say the storage rooms at the hotel do not have active phones.
Despite these stories, staff members haven't been scared off from working at the hotel. They've acknowledged at this point the potential existence of ghosts is simply a characteristic of the Pearl on the Concho.
Paranormal Investigators with Graveyard Shift Paranormal Investigations and Concho Valley Paranormal say they were also informed staff members had the sighting of "an apparition" of a small girl saying she couldn't find her doll.
Staff members at the hotel invited local paranormal investigators to verify the existence of paranormal activity in the area.
It's a process requiring a controlled environment with little to no noise pollution and a number of devices ranging from audio recorders to video cameras.
Paranormal investigators say they did find evidence of Electronic Voice Phenomena or "EVPs" using audio recording devices, which they say means ghostly activity is taking place at the hotel.
They will meet with hotel staff in the near future to reveal the evidence they gathered from their investigation at the Pearl on the Concho.
