Loch Ness Monster sightings hit 13-year high

Via unexplained-mysteries.com

There have been more sightings of the fabled monster this year than at any time over the last decade.

Despite growing skepticism over the existence of the legendary creature, visitors to the famous Scottish lake have continued to report fresh sightings over the last twelve months.

Gary Campbell, keeper of the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register, has stated that while most of the sightings can be explained, five have gone down on record as genuinely intriguing.

The most recent took place on September 15th when local man Conor McKenna spotted a 20ft-long dark-colored object in the water as he was driving along south of Urquhart Castle.

Earlier in the year Dee Bruce had been on her way to Skye with her partner when she observed a strange black creature emerging from the water near the north end of the loch. Another couple also reported a very similar sighting next to Urquhart Castle later on that same month.

"This has been a vintage year for Nessie sightings," said Campbell. "We’ve had five bona fide reports from people who were at the loch."

"This is the first time in 13 years that there have been this number of sightings reported by people who saw something while they were at Loch Ness."
