Even as paediatricians and neonatal experts at the Mundiyambakkam GH
plan to give counselling to the mother of the baby diagnosed with
Spontaneous Human Combustion (SHC) syndrome, a self-styled god man has
claimed that he has the remedy for the baby’s condition.
According
to sources, the woman Rajeshwari is not allowing doctors to shift the
baby to Kilpauk Medical College in Chennai for further diagnosis and
treatment. The baby is under close observation and has not suffered any
burn injuries in the past 24 hours.
Sources add that Rajeshwari
remains adamant about not travelling to Chennai and alleges that she has
had bitter experience in the past.
Meanwhile, a middle-aged man
who introduced himself as “holy brother” Jesus Napoleon has claimed that
Mozhiyanur village, from where Rajeshwari hails, is under the spell of
evil spirits which is the reason for the chaos. Napolean claims that he
received a prophecy about Raghul (the couple’s first child born in 2013
and diagnosed with SHC), two days ago and that he had warned the family
members that a similar fate was about to befall the second child.
Further,
Napolean said he had written about the condition of the new-born boy on
his social media page on Friday even before news reached the public and
claims he has the powers to cure the village of its misery.
Although
Raghul is not the victim at present, Napolean’s claims have caused
panic among villagers and relatives of the infant recovering in the
Mundiyambakkam GH.
