Free classes on the paranormal to begin in Piqua

Local paranormal investigator Anna Baumeister will lead a series of six free classes in paranormal investigation at the Piqua Public Library, 116 W. High St., Piqua, on consecutive Mondays from 6 to 8 p.m., beginning Jan. 19.

Baumeister has been a member of the Infinity Paranormal Society of Piqua for several years. IPS has investigated numerous locations in the Piqua, Troy and Sidney areas. Members have also investigated well-known sites, including the Mansfield Reformatory in Ohio, Moundsville State Prison in West Virginia and the Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Kentucky.

The Piqua sessions will focus on the gathering of evidence, how to prepare for a paranormal investigation and how to document and review evidence obtained from that investigation.

Topics will include the following: An Overview of the Types of Paranormal Events; Meters and Equipment Recommendations; EVPs and Other Phenomena; Software to Enhance Sound and Image Files; Things to Know — The Science of Investigations.

Most of the classes will meet at the Piqua Public Library, though there may be offsite sessions for hands-on investigations, as well. Advance registration is required at www1.youseemore.com/piqua or 937-773-6753.
