UF has zombie plan for 'life impaired individuals'
Miami Herald (GAINESVILLE, Fla.) -- The University of Florida is prepared for all sorts of disasters. Even zombies.
A disaster recovery exercise that explains how the school could respond to an outbreak of the undead is posted on a UF e-Learning Support Services Web site. The site also contains other disaster response plans for events such as hurricanes or pandemics.
The exercise, an apparent joke, lays out the university's response to attacks by "flesh-eating, apparently life impaired individuals." It notes that a zombie outbreak might include "documentation of lots of strange moaning."
A University of Florida spokesman said the exercise was written by an employee at the school's academic technology office and was designed to "add a little bit of levity" to disaster preparation discussions
