20 Orange Ball UFOs over Canton, Ohio skies

A group of Canton, Ohio, witnesses watched a series of "orange glowing fireballs" moving slowly across the horizon on August 22, 2009, according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.

The objects were descibed as round or disc-shaped, sometimes moving in pairs, and one group was sighted in a triangle formation.

Canton is the county seat of Stark County in northeastern, Ohio, population 80,806.

The following is the unedited witness testimony from the MUFON database. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Ohio MUFON State Director William E. Jones investigates and reports back on this case, I will update this page.

  1. My name is Gary Broadbent and I live in Canton, Ohio. At 7:26pm on Dec. 28, 2012 a burnt orange rectangle of light appeared south heading north slowly in the sky. I ran outside to check it out because it was like nothing I had seen in the sky before. I watch it for 6 to 8 min. It was at a low altitude of about 3,000 ft. There was no sound, no wings and no rotors. It turned west northwest and headed out of sight slowly. Viability was unlimited. It was a burnt orange color and it was shaped in a rectangle. When it did a 90 degree right angle turn and headed west, the shape didn't change. Anyone with info about or can explain what it was, would love to hear from you.
