No. 1: Queen Bianca

Bianca has been the reigning Queen of New Orleans voodoo since 1983 when she received the title from Liga Foley, her aunt by marriage and a granddaughter of Marie Laveaux I. Bianca has presided over the secret Sosyete that Laveau founded carrying on the legacy of true New Orleans voodoo these many years. Bianca learned the ways of New Orleans Voodoo and Santeria from a very young age. Having studied numerous ancient paths and traditions, she has also become very well known as specializing in rare New Orleans original voodoo occult items and the handmaking of magical fetishes, small voodoo statues and good luck charms.

Chewbacchus Krewe Brings Sci-Fi to Mardi Gras

As Paranormal Searchers is New Orleans based and Mardis Gras is in high Gear a great new Krewe/Parade is starting up that we thought we would take note also we will be riding on some of the floats:

A new Mardi Gras parade group named after Chewbacca will give sci-fi fans a chance to break out their favorite intergalactic costumes.
“The Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus is New Orleans’ first sci-fi-themed Mardi Gras parade organization,” says spokesman Ryan Ballard in the NOLA.com video at right, which shows group members dressed in Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica garb at a fashion show.
With its slogan — “Saving the galaxy one drunken nerd at a time” — the Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus looks to spike the annual New Orleans boozefest with a geeky shot of Comic-Con International.
“It was a way to sort of open up Mardi Gras to people who are experienced revelers,” says Ballard, dressed in a blinking Tron-like suit. “To people who have either an outer nerd or an inner geek, so they could bring together all these different worlds and create something new and fun.”
