* VIDEO OF THE WEEK: "Ghost" in Lima, Peru

Paranormal researcher Javier Ortega provides insight on a video currently circulating that purportedly shows the ghost of a girl at a home in Lima, Peru. According to the reporter on the video, "What you are seeing is not a recreation nor a fabricated camera trick. It's the photograph of a ghost. It's the spirit of a little girl who died in this house in Magdalena, and who has remained here in the shadows, hidden between the walls of the home. A world that is not alive, but that is observing us through the windows... of this possessed house... by ghosts." Thankfully, Javier does not take the report at face value and provides a reasonable explanation. Go look.

Russian Governor Claims Alien Abduction

Here is a recent report that I believe you will find of interest. An ABC affiliate is reporting that the governor of the Russian republic of Kalmykia, and a former president of the World Chess Federation, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, has claimed that he was abducted by alien beings, and taken to their spaceship.
This incident allegedly took place on September 18, 1997. He reported his encounter recently on a popular Russian television show. He said that he was taken from his apartment, to the alien ship, and communicated with by means of telepathy.
I know this seems bizarre, but he is being taken seriously by the Russian government. They seem to accept his story, but are more concerned that he may have revealed "state secrets" to the aliens. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has been called upon to interrogate Ilyumzhinov.
