New Scientology Tell-All Reveals Tom Cruise’s Telekinetic Powers

Like many of you, I have long been curious about what kind of malarkey and tomfoolery is going on inside the cult Church of Scientology. What’s up with the uniforms? The audits with the weird metal rods? Xenu? And most importantly … is Tom Cruise really an extra-terrestrial? I’ve often found myself tempted to sneak inside a Scientology center with a hidden mic and snoop around like Nancy Drew, but my fear of alien abduction is far too strong. Well, no need to wonder anymore. Marc Headly, a former insider at the church, has written a tell-all book, called Blown for Good, about his 15 years of work with Scientology. And folks … you can’t handle the truth.
In an interview with the Village Voice, Headly reveals what happened during his own auditing session conducted by none other than Tom Cruise. Cruise, he claimed, would instruct him to speak to a book, telling it to stand up, or to sit down, or just move. “You do the same with the bottle. You talk to it. You do it with an ashtray too,” he says. “You tell the ashtray, ‘Sit in that chair.’ Then you actually go over and put the ashtray on the chair. Then you tell the ashtray, ‘Thank you.’ Then you do the same thing with the bottle, and the book. And you do this for hours and hours.” OMFG! I can’t wait to read this book! Tom Cruise possesses telekinetic powers!  A sure sign that he is an alien! I wonder if Tom Cruise will be able to move copies of the book off the shelf with his mind? While I ponder that, I am going to try to use my mind to get money to move from other people’s bank accounts into my pockets. Of course, I will thank it afterwards. [Fafarazzi]

The Wolfman - Trailer No. 2

The Chinese Hungry Ghost Festival

Hungry Ghost Festival

No swimming or late outing as the Gates of Hell are opened on the Chinese lunar seventh month.

The Hungry Ghost Festival is the most important festival or celebration of the year beside the Chinese New Year. The Chinese believed that during the seventh month, the Gates of Hell are opened. Ghost are free to wander in search for food.

Who are hungry ghost?

It is important to understand the reason why there is a festival for the hungry ghost. It is believed that when the Gates of Hell are opened, all ghosts or spirit are given the opportunity for a one month vacation to return to Earth.
In this hungry ghost festival, it is solely for the wandering spirits or "hoe heah ti" or good brothers.
The spirit that has no home to return. Of course without a doubt, the ancestors spirit knows their way around. They will return to their descendants homes and hereby the food feast will be laid for their consumption.
Hungry Ghost Festivals in Penang
Hungry Ghost Festival in Pulau Tikus Market, Penang
Well, according to my late father, (my father has lots of tales to tell me), looking after ones parent or ancestor is our duty.
So I dutifully return home to Sungai Bakap to help my aunts and uncles in their preparation to pray during the hungry ghost festival.
According to my aunt Ah Nur Kor Kor, feast for ancestors during the hungry ghost month is usually a "quiet do".
But it is a very different story for the hungry or wandering spirit or most called ghost.
In the case of ghost where no one offers food, they turn hungry. The hungry ghost feast and festival is usually or collectively prepared by the community business man. It will be held in the market place or association hall.
See how much food were prepared for the Hungry Ghost Feast by Sungai Bakap Kee Kongsi (Clan House) in August this year.

If you are want to see this Chinese Halloween during the seventh month of the Chinese lunar calendar, best place is in most Chinatown wet markets in Malaysian and Singapore towns.
Big huge effigy of Phor Thor Kong or King of Hell sitting majestically at the main table. From morning till late night, food offering were placed for the BIG KING. Forthe hungry ghost, they get their share after the King of Hell is fed. Same time, he ensured the hungry ghost won't misbehaved during the time they are on earth.

Arjan Piak Guman Tong Consecration Ceremony Part 1

I had the greatest opportunity to “cover” Arjan Piak consecrating his Roon 2 Guman Tong Roops. This extremely humbling process has totally changed my impression on the humble Guman Tong amulet or bucha (statue).
One cannot imagine the amount of effort that an Arjan puts in when consecrating the amulets until they been through this process.
Information about Arjan Piak’s Guman Tong Roon 2. Like the 1st batch his 2nd batch raw materials include
• Cemetary soil from 7 different provinces
• River water from 7 different rivers
• Soil from 7 different forest
• Pong Plai Guman from 7 different bodies and cemetaries
• Pong Plai Guman from LP Chom Wat Natanok
• Pong Plai Guman from LP Saweng Wat Sawang Pod
• Other “potent” ingredients that act as a good medium for spirits to dwell in
After his very successful 1st batch Guman Tong made last year, Arjan decided to do a new batch this year and again making them in limited quantity of 108 pieces. All Guman Tongs have been painstakingly hand crafted by him and a Luang Pi from Wat Sawang Pod.
Procedures include, consecrating ceremonies for 15 days in total. 1st 7 days in 7 different cemeteries, 7 days at his Samnak (shirne) and the last day in the temple.
I was delighted to hear that Arjan has granted permission for me to cover his 1st day of consecration. Even after a full day of activities and showing me around his province area, Arjan was still full of energy. We headed towards Nakon Sawan at about 6pm and arrive at our destination 2.5 hours later at an old temple near LP Doem’s temple.
After catch up with some monks at the temple he prepared the materials needed for the ceremony. Arjan was joined by Luang Pi to co chant the Guman Tongs.

After gathering all that they needed we headed out to the cemetery grounds and sat in front of a crematorium where Arjan set up his apparatus.
It was pitch black and all I could see was matter lighted up by the candles. It was definitely an eerie feeling as the owls howled and dogs barked for no reason. The reason why I say I appreciate the effort so much more after attending the ceremony is because the mosquitoes were attacking us every second of the ceremony. Being Singaporean I was not prepared for these “rural threats”. None the less I braved through the 2.5 hour event and managed to get some good footage.
After the ceremony we went back to the monks kuti (quarters) and rested for 30 min before heading out again to pay homage to Buddha. This process lasted another 1 hour. It was about 5am by this time and I was dead shagged. We caught 3 hours sleep before waking up to get ready to head back down town. This was also the time where the temple monks come back from collecting alms and start eating their only meal of the day. Arjan Piak again caught up with them and we bidded farewell.
Just imagine Arjan has to go through this for another 6 days. The amount of time spent travelling, chanting, consecrating, hand crafting, collecting materials etc. etc. is seriously hard work. I now treasure my little Guman Tong Roop 1st batch by Arjan Piak so much more and definitely see Arjan Piak is a much much different light.

Saint Death Cult Draws On Pre-Christian Roots

The growing cult of "Saint Death" among "unaffiliated" persons finds many of its characteristics date to Pre-Christian times in the Americas

By Martin Barillas

"Santa Muerte" – Saint Death or Holy Death– is the focus of a deathly Mexican cult that has gained a so-far undetermined number of adherents on both sides of the illusory barrier that divides the United States from Mexico.
It made news in the US in early March when its putative leader led a demonstration in Mexico City protesting against the Mexican government’s current reconsideration of his group’s status as an officially registered "church."

Paranormal Researcher Looks at 'The Fourth Kind'

Biotech Firm Sued for Extra Bone Growth

NPR-- The Justice Department alleges a medical technology company and several of its execs fraudulently marketed bone-growth products for unapproved uses. They've been charged with five counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy.

The charges against Stryker Biotech, a unit of orthopedics giant Stryker, and some of its executives, say sales managers told customers to use bone-growth putty in all sorts of home-brew "recipes" for patient treatment.

In a statement, Stryker said it is "disappointed with this action and still hopes to be able to reach a fair and just resolution of this matter."

UFOs & Aliens: The Great Deception

The concept of an ANGEL comes from the Greek "aggelos", from the Hebrew "ago", meaning "one going forth" or "one leading"; messenger.

Not all angels are "good". Not all angels continue to do God's will, although all angels were originally created by God to convey His message. Some angels rebelled against God's plan. Some angels go forth to give their own message; some angels go forth to lead mankind AWAY from the truth. But all angels are more intelligent and powerful beings than mere humans, it is easy to see how the rebellious angels could have been worshipped as gods, when they descended to the Earth before the Flood, and deceived humans (Genesis 6).

Among these myriads of angels are those who follow their own rebellious plan instead of God's. Those rebel angels - who appear in many guises, from ghosts to aliens to "Blessed Virgin Mary" or apparitions like Fatima - are the intelligent non-human beings behind UFOs and the paranormal. THEY have a plan, their message is a deceptive one.

Human Shaped Chinese Knotweed Found

Telegraph.co.uk-- Stunned farmer Zheng Dexun dug up a crop of fleeceflower, or Chinese knotweed, and found one shaped like a person, in Langzhong, China. The eerie-looking plant, measuring 62 centimetres tall, has clearly defined arms, legs, and head. Zheng said: "I don't know whether it is good or bad to dig out a Chinese knotweed that looks like a human. I'd better put it back in the earth!"

Witches' Brews: role of hallucinogenic substances by medieval witches

Witches' Brews
by Paul Devereux

The magical and medicinal plant lore of the rural “wise woman” (or man) in Anglo-Saxon, Medieval and Early Modern Europe may not occupy a period we can properly call prehistory, but we can say that it was outside history, in that it was a living knowledge largely overlooked or dismissed by the ruling classes and the sophisticates, or discouraged and repressed by the Church. The Church-orchestrated witch-persecutions of the late Middle Ages transformed what was in fact a quietly surviving country tradition into what was hysterically and neurotically seen as a satanic activity.

One of the key elements of “witch lore” was that witches were able to fly on broomsticks, rods or other implements to their sabbats and other night-time gatherings in the wilderness beyond the pale of the town or village. “Flying ointments” were often used, either smeared on the person’s body or flying implements. Long before the Church contextualised this “flying out” to the wilderness as a diabolic practice, however, it was happening simply as part of the practice of women and men wise in the rural magic arts and healing based on arcane plant knowledge. The people who became identified as “witches” by the Church were in actuality simply the continuation of an ancient tradition of “night travellers.” In northern Europe they were called qveldriga, “night rider,” or myrkrida, “rider in the dark.” In Scandinavia, there was the tradition of seidhr, in which a prophetess or seidhonka would travel around farmsteads and hamlets with a group of girls to give divinatory trance-sessions. She wore a ritual costume and carried a staff. The goddess Freya, who taught Odin the secrets of magical flight, was the patronal mistress of seidhr. “Night travellers and the later witches are carelessly lumped together,” Hans Peter Duerr warns.

Water: The Great Mystery

Does water have consciousness? This documentary comes extremely close to proving it. Why does water arrange its molecules beautifully when told "I love you" and horrendously when told "I hate you". This film has physical proof of water structure changes based entirely on the positive and negative emotions of humans.

How Britain became a nation of ghost hunters

Guardian.co.uk-- Ghost-hunting events are on the increase, and not just at Halloween. Rachel Dixon asks why we became so interested in the paranormal - and whether we're wasting our money.

Midnight on Friday. Thirty people are crouching in a dark castle crypt, silently waiting for … what? A ghostly apparition, or an otherworldly sound - a communication, in short, from beyond the grave. Suddenly, a woman screams. "Something just hit me on the head!" The tension broken, everyone starts talking at once and turning on their torches.

We are on a ghost-hunting event at Oxford Castle, one of a growing number of paranormal-themed experiences springing up around the country. Fright Nights, the company behind the evening, organises ghost hunts at 170 locations in the UK, scaring - or trying to scare - 1,000 customers a month. While it claims to be the "undisputed number one ghost hunting company in the UK", it has certainly spawned a lot of imitators - Haunted Happenings, Dead Haunted, Let's Be Spooked - all making a living from our desire to be frightened.

Coast to Coast AM - Predictions Special

Seven signs your home is haunted

Paranormal Daily News-- It would seem almost everyone you talk to has had an experience of ghosts or something spooky they just cannot explain. Most can relate a tale of a haunted house where strange occurences have taken place. Ghosts are a lot more common than you might think!

So what exactly are the tell tales signs that your own home is haunted?

1. Have you heard unexplained noises? The most commonly reported sounds in haunted homes are knocking, raps, footsteps, disembodied voices, bells ringing or children crying. Sometimes they are psychic echoes or attempts by the ghost/s in residence to grab your attention. At other times they are a replay of a scene that has taken place in the past.

2. Do objects move around of their own accord? Could you swear that you left a personal effect in a particular place and now it’s gone? Some ghosts have a sense and humour and enjoy a joke at your expense. If this is something that happens on a regular basis it’s probably not just your bad memory or someone else in the family moving it. It could be a being from another world.

Phil Schneider - The Alien Agenda

Ghost Research Society reviews 2009 - and trip to Waverly Hills Sanitarium

Examiner.com-- Chicago's Ghost Research Society is back in town after a few adventures around the country - a trip to Waverly Hills Sanitarium and the Mansfield Reformatory.

Following is their overview of what's been happening in their investigations.

From GRS:

2009 was an extremely active year for the Ghost Research Society as we traveled extensively around the country in search of some of the most active paranormal hotspots. Our annual investigation of the Lincoln Theater in Decatur, Illinois is always a pleasure and usually full of surprises. No visual phenomenon was recorded this time but a number of EVPs (electronic voice phenomena) were recorded by team members throughout the night. Harry Houdini once performed on stage at the Lincoln Theater and team members Nicole Tito and Lisa Krick picked up a strange clear Class “A” voice saying, “Magic!” which I find fascinating given the Houdini connection.

Building an artificially haunted room

Wired.com-- Fake blood, canned screams and plastic skeletons are fun, but if you want a real haunted house, turn to scientists.

To test whether it’s possible to artificially induce paranormal experiences — or, from a different perspective, to technologically summon a spirit — researchers at London’s Goldsmith College and architect Usman Haque designed a scientifically haunted room.

They were inspired by earlier studies in which test subjects reported contact with the phantasmic when exposed to electromagnetic fields and waves of infrasound.

Skinwalker Ranch & Area 51

Investigative journalist George Knapp and researcher Colm Kelleher discussed their book Hunt for the Skinwalker, which chronicles bizarre paranormal events that were scientifically studied at a ranch in Utah. During the period of 1996-7 strange incidents were occurring frequently and included the sightings of anomalous dark shapes, creatures, lights and UFOs, as well as unexplained animal mutilations, recounted Kelleher (who appeared in just the first hour of the interview).

Napoleon Dynamite Was Originally a UFO Movie

IO9.com-- Napoleon Dynamite, paranormal investigator? The husband-wife team behind the strange slice-of-life comedy reveal that the original idea for Napoleon Dynamite involved a very different plot, with crop circles, an alien conspiracy, and Napoleon fleeing from government agents.

After a screening for their upcoming film Gentlemen Broncos, Jared and Jerusha Hess, co-writers of both Gentlemen Broncos and Napoleon Dynamite (Jared also directed both films) answered audience questions and gave a little background about the movie. During the session, Jerusha mentioned that, if Jared had his way, Napoleon Dynamite would have been about crop circles and UFOs.

Later, during an interview with the pair, we asked them to elaborate on this more science fiction Napoleon Dynamite:
Jared: I don't know, it just involved Napoleon researching crop circle crap and weird extraterrestrial —

Jerusha: Paranormal —

Jared: — stuff going down in the farming community. I don't know. It didn't get much further than that. She [Jerusha] stopped it right away.

Jerusha: There are a couple of white Bronco scenes, where he [Napoleon] was being chased by some government officials.

Jared: Yeah, it was bad. It was bad. But we didn't pursue it. We kept it —

Jerusha: Jared was so focused on the story for Napoleon, when really it was just the character that was so entertaining. And I kept saying "Jared, we don't need the story. Let's show a little glimpse of his life."

Nephila komaci Video: The 'Giant' orb web spider

'Giant' orb web spider discovered

BBC News-- A new and rare species of "giant" orb web spider has been discovered in Africa and Madagascar.

In the journal Plos One, researchers describe Nephila komaci as the largest web spinning spider known to science.

Only the females of this groups of species are giants, with a leg span of up to 12cm (4.7in); the male spiders are tiny by comparison.

Scientists say the female spiders are capable of spinning webs that reach up to 1m (3ft 3in) in diameter.

Orb-weaving spiders are a widespread group which take their name from the round webs they typically spin.

The few preserved female specimens had bodies almost 4cm (1.5in) long.

Modern analysis supports that photos taken in 1965 were not faked

OCRegister.com-- The professor emeritus in economics at the University of Hartford, Conn., has followed the ufo controversy for almost 50 years.

UFO skeptics often allege that there is no authentic photographic evidence that UFOs exist. UFO photos are often featureless "lights in the sky," misidentified birds or airplanes, natural phenomena such as Venus or some peculiar-looking cloud, crude hoaxes (doctored negatives, string-suspended models, thrown hubcaps) or pictures and videos that have been computer-manipulated (Photoshop). There are hundreds of UFO photos and videos on the Internet, but a safe bet is that a high percentage are completely worthless.

There is at least one exception, however, and it is a huge exception. Around noon on Aug. 3, 1965, near the intersection of what is today Walnut Avenue and Myford Road in Tustin, Rex Heflin, a 38-year-old highway maintenance engineer, snapped three close-up photos through the windows of his truck of a low-flying hat-like UFO. (He also took a fourth picture; more on that later). The pictures Heflin took with the Polaroid camera he carried for work clearly show a round, hat-like object with a dark band around its raised superstructure.
