Jerome Arizona: Seventh Annual Ghostwalk

This year’s GhostWalk will encompass a dramatic representation of the life and times of Jennie Bauters, once the richest woman in Arizona and a businesswoman who traded within the underbelly of Jerome’s marketplace.

To give audience members a full experience, each of three guides will double as the lead character of Jennie, who will tour and interact in several scenes in five historical locations in a two-block radius of Spook Hall. Each of the scenes will take on historical significance as culled from the JHS archives, and will have a duration of 5-15 minutes, for a full tour of about one hour.

In addition to the dramatization of Jennie’s life interpreted en route and in chronological order, this script will retain last year’s acclaimed scenes of audience-mingling soiled doves on Jerome Avenue and the “big-bang” shootout finale at the Bartlett Hotel.

The stories will be factual and may not be appropriate for children 13 years and younger.
